STITCHED TO LAST, BUILT TO REPRESENT

DTF Printing

Direct-to-film transfers deliver full-color, photo-quality graphics on cotton, poly, and blends. Ideal for small-batch runs, gradients, and designs screen printing can't touch.

Full-Color Transfers, Any Garment

Direct-to-film also known as DTF is a versatile printing method that allows detailed, full-color artwork to be applied to a wide variety of garments.

Your design is printed onto a specialty film, coated with adhesive powder, and cured before being transferred onto the garment with heat and pressure. This process creates a vibrant and flexible print that works well for detailed logos, gradients, photographs, and artwork containing multiple colors.

DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, polyester, blends, and many other compatible materials. They are a strong option for smaller production runs, complicated artwork, custom placements, and designs that may not be ideal for traditional screen printing.

We offer individual transfers as well as gang sheets in multiple sizes, allowing you to place several designs onto one sheet and get more value from each order.

GOT QUESTIONS?

FAQ

The most common questions about DTF Transfers. Still have one? Ask us directly.

What garments can DTF printing be applied to?

DTF transfers can be applied to many cotton, polyester, and blended garments, including T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, uniforms, workwear, tote bags, and other heat-safe products. We review each garment to confirm it is suitable for the application process.

What artwork file is best for DTF printing?

A high-resolution PNG file with a transparent background is preferred for DTF printing. For the cleanest results, artwork should be submitted at the intended print size and at least 300 DPI. Vector files such as AI, EPS, PDF, and SVG may also be accepted.

Can DTF printing reproduce detailed or full-color artwork?

Yes. DTF printing is a strong option for detailed logos, photographs, gradients, small lettering, and designs with many colors. Unlike traditional screen printing, the price is generally not based on the number of colors in the design.

How durable are DTF-printed designs?

Professionally applied DTF prints are flexible, vibrant, and designed to withstand regular wear and washing. Durability depends on proper application, the garment material, and how the finished apparel is cared for.

How should I wash DTF-printed clothing?

Wash DTF-decorated garments inside out in cold water using a gentle cycle. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, dry cleaning, and high heat. Air drying is recommended, but a low dryer setting may be used when necessary.

Is there a minimum order for custom DTF printing?

Our minimum order for DTF printing applied to garments is 24 pieces per design. Garment sizes and colors may be mixed depending on product availability, as long as the artwork, print size, and placement remain the same.

We also offer custom DTF gang sheets that are 22 inches wide and up to 20 feet long. Multiple logos or designs can be arranged on the sheet to maximize the available space, making gang sheets a cost-effective option for brands, print shops, and businesses that apply their own transfers.

What file types do you need to get started?

We recommend AI, EPS, PDF, or a high-resolution PNG for the best results.
